Scenes from the Toughest Day of Our Israel Trip
We went down south to see a kibbutz massacred on 10/7, as well as the site of the Nova music festival.
EN ROUTE TO JERUSALEM—Yesterday was hard. On Wednesday we had to don body armor to get briefings on the situation on the northern border. Today our schedule was upended because of security alerts in Old Jerusalem for the first Friday of Ramadan (religion of peace?). But yesterday, visiting the southern “Gaza envelope” that was hit so hard on October 7, will be the most memorable part of the trip.
There’s a lot that can be said about what we saw, but I think it’s better to just let the images speak for themselves.
