A Moving First Day in Tel Aviv
My intro to Israel's biggest city featured a visit to Hostages Square and the headquarters of the Families Forum, which works to get hostages' stories out to the world and support their families.
TEL AVIV—After waking up and starting to write at 3 a.m. yesterday, today’s 5 a.m. start is possibly an improvement on the jet-lag, except that I didn’t go to bed until midnight after walking on the beach and responding to emails. We’ll see if I again go to bed after posting this, though I have to get up at 8 instead of re-sleeping until 10 as I did yesterday, because today we’ll be heading to the north, to see what could become Israel’s second front with its enemies. Helmets and protective vests required!
